Running & endurance

Pace, distance, race, and endurance estimates.

Choose the tool whose inputs and output match your task. Check each calculator’s assumptions and limitations before using its result.

Latest update:

Running and endurance tools cover the pace, time, and distance relationships behind training runs and race day. Start with the running pace calculator, which solves for any one of pace, elapsed time, or distance from the other two. The half marathon pace calculator turns a target finish time into per-kilometer splits and cumulative checkpoints, while the pace converter calculator translates minutes per mile into minutes per kilometer, miles per hour, or treadmill speed. If you walk or run a measured course, the stride length calculator estimates step length from distance and counted steps; swimmers can use the swimming speed calculator for per-100-meter pace. Frequently asked questions

What distance does the half marathon pace calculator use?
It uses the standard half-marathon distance of 21.0975 km, which is 13.1094 miles. Pace and cumulative splits are computed from that fixed distance and the finish time you enter.
Why do split displays sometimes differ from hand-math?
Calculations retain raw seconds throughout and round only when a split is displayed, to the nearest second. Intermediate values are not rounded, so small final-place differences come from display rounding rather than a different method.
Does even pacing predict my actual race splits?
No. Even pacing is an arithmetic plan, not a prediction or coaching prescription. Course measurement, terrain, weather, stops, and individual capacity can all make actual splits differ from the calculated values.
