OverCalculator

Privacy Policy

This policy describes the current data practices for the OverCalculator website and its calculator and reference services.

Calculator inputs and accounts

OverCalculator does not currently offer user accounts, orders, payments, newsletters, promotions, or public submission forms. Calculations run in the browser, and the site code does not intentionally send the values entered into calculator fields to OverCalculator. Features such as copying a result or embed code use browser capabilities only when you request them.

Web analytics

The site uses Vercel Web Analytics to understand aggregate traffic and page usage. Vercel describes this service as privacy-focused and cookie-free. It processes limited request and device information needed to produce analytics, such as the page visited, referrer, browser or device information, approximate location derived from a truncated IP address, and visit timing. OverCalculator uses these measurements to understand site performance and improve the utility; it does not use them to read calculator input values.

Analytics handling and retention also depend on Vercel's service and the site's Vercel settings. For details, see Vercel's Web Analytics privacy documentation.

Hosting, security, and external resources

Vercel hosts the site. Like other web infrastructure providers, it may process request data—including IP address, requested URL, user agent, timestamps, and diagnostic or security records—to deliver, protect, and troubleshoot the service. The site also loads a KaTeX stylesheet from the jsDelivr content-delivery network; requesting that resource can disclose ordinary request metadata to that provider. Providers handle data under their own terms and policies.

Email

If you email [email protected], OverCalculator and its email provider receive the address, message, attachments, and technical email metadata you send. This information is used to answer the request, investigate a report, prevent abuse, and keep a reasonable record of corrections or support. Do not email sensitive calculator inputs or confidential medical, financial, legal, or account information.

Cookies and advertising

OverCalculator's current calculator and Vercel Web Analytics functionality does not require an OverCalculator account cookie. Browser or infrastructure behavior may still use essential storage or security mechanisms.

Pages may display clearly labeled advertising areas when advertising is activated, but a Google publisher identifier does not mean Google AdSense is currently serving ads. If Google advertising is activated, Google and its partners may use cookies, local storage, IP addresses, web beacons, or other identifiers to deliver, measure, limit, and personalize ads, subject to consent and regional requirements. Learn how Google uses information from sites and manage advertising choices at Google's partner-sites policy and My Ad Center.

Sharing and retention

OverCalculator does not sell information submitted by email. Information may be handled by hosting, analytics, email, security, and—if activated—advertising providers for the purposes described above. It may also be disclosed when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect the service or users, or address fraud and abuse. Retention depends on operational need, correction records, security needs, provider settings, and applicable obligations; data may remain in backups for a limited period.

Choices and requests

You can use browser controls to block cookies or storage and can use privacy or content-blocking tools, although doing so may affect some features or any future advertising. Depending on where you live, you may have rights concerning personal information. Send a request to [email protected]; enough information may be needed to verify and locate the relevant record.

Changes and contact

This policy may change when the product or its providers change. Material revisions will be reflected in the date below. Questions or privacy requests can be sent through the Contact page or directly to [email protected].

This policy describes product practices and is not a certification of compliance or a substitute for legal advice. Publisher legal review remains appropriate as services and jurisdictions change.
