When to use which
Use the pace converter when the question is expressed in pace: a 5:30/km workout converted to min/mile, a treadmill mph setting converted to minutes per kilometer, or checking that 6:00/km is exactly 10.00 km/h. Use the speed converter when the question is raw speed across domains: a weather report in knots discussed with a driver, a physics value in m/s needing a public-facing km/h comparison, or an aviation airspeed converted for explanation. Limits and disclaimer
Both converters are unit-math tools, not measurements. The pace converter warns that a converted value can differ from a measured split because of course distance, timing precision, and rounding, and it rejects empty, invalid, negative, or zero-denominator inputs rather than showing a misleading result. The speed converter warns against treating knots as mph (a nautical mile is longer than a statute mile), against mixing rounded values in chains of calculation, and against using it for fuel economy, since MPG and L/100km are reciprocal-style efficiency measures rather than linear speed units.
