Choose the tool whose inputs and output match your task. Check each calculator’s assumptions and limitations before using its result.

Latest update:

These tools measure a space and plan what fits inside it. The square footage calculator finds area for rectangles, circles, and triangles, so start there for any room size. The stair calculator drafts rise, run, tread depth, and stringer length from total rise and run. In the bathroom, the bathroom mirror size calculator checks mirror widths and clearances against vanity, faucet, and ceiling measurements. For listening rooms and studios, the room acoustics calculator estimates reverberation time, absorption shortfall, and speaker placement. Landscape beds use the mulch calculator; cleaning budgets use the home cleaning supply calculator. Stair and acoustic outputs are planning estimates; verify structural and code requirements with qualified trades. See more in the Construction & Home collection.

Frequently asked questions

How does the calculator compute the mirror width range?
Each width endpoint is vanity width multiplied by the percentage you enter. For a 60 inch vanity, a 70% to 90% range gives 42.00 to 54.00 inches.
How are the bottom edge and remaining space determined?
The selected bottom edge is faucet top height plus the clearance you enter, and the remaining vertical space is ceiling height minus that bottom edge. With a 36 inch faucet top plus 4 inches clearance, the bottom is 40.00 inches and 56.00 inches remain below a 96 inch ceiling.
Does the result select a compliant mirror?
No. The calculator only applies the percentages and clearances you enter to the measurements; it does not provide width percentages, fit approval, mounting advice, or code and safety conclusions.
