What each calculator does
The square footage calculator takes a shape — rectangle, circle, or triangle — and its dimensions with units. It converts the dimensions to a common unit, then applies the shape formula: length times width for a rectangle, π times radius squared for a circle, or base times height divided by two for a triangle. It also reports perimeter for rectangles and, when you enter a cost per square foot, multiplies the unrounded area by that rate to show a labeled cost. Results display to two decimals.
The stud spacing calculator takes wall length, on-center spacing, and an explicit corner allowance. The geometric count is wall length divided by the spacing, rounded up, plus one end stud, plus the entered corner extras — for example, a 10-foot wall at 16 inches on center gives ceil(120 ÷ 16) = 8, plus one end stud and two corner extras for a count of 11. It also estimates rough 2x4 or 2x6 material cost, but the page is explicit that it must not recommend structural spacing, species, grade, load capacity, or wall suitability.
