Concrete Volume Calculator

Estimate metric concrete volume, waste-adjusted quantity, cost, and rough mix materials for rectangular slabs, circular foundations, and walls. Inputs are in centimeters, and outputs are in cubic meters with cement, sand, aggregate, and water estimates.

How to use this calculator

Choose rectangular slab, circular foundation, or wall. Enter the required dimensions in centimeters, then set waste factor and unit cost per cubic meter. The calculator returns volume with waste, base volume, total cost, waste factor, and material quantities.

Formula

For a rectangular slab:

base volume=length×width×depth÷1000000base\ volume = length \times width \times depth \div 1000000

The buying volume is:

volume with waste=base volume×(1+waste percent÷100)volume\ with\ waste = base\ volume \times (1 + waste\ percent \div 100)

For a 400 cm by 300 cm by 10 cm slab, base volume is 1.20 m³. With 10 percent waste, volume becomes 1.32 m³. At 125 dollars per m³, estimated cost is 165 dollars.

Material estimates

The material rows use the calculator’s original per cubic meter assumptions for a standard 1 to 2 to 4 mix. For US customary slabs, bags, and cubic yards, use the concrete calculator. For patio footprint checks, use the square footage calculator.

Frequently asked questions

How do I calculate concrete volume in cubic meters?
Enter dimensions in centimeters, choose rectangular, circular, or wall, and the calculator divides cubic centimeters by 1,000,000 to get cubic meters.
Does this calculator include waste factor?
Yes. It multiplies base volume by 1 plus the waste percentage, then uses that volume for cost and material estimates.
What material mix does the calculator use?
It uses the original standard 1 to 2 to 4 mix estimate per cubic meter: 350 kg cement, 700 kg sand, 1400 kg aggregate, and 160 liters water.
Can I estimate concrete cost with this tool?
Yes. Enter the unit cost per cubic meter and the calculator multiplies it by volume with waste.
