It cautions that openings, hips, valleys, starter, ridge, flashing, installation, fall protection, and local requirements need a separate takeoff and review, and that the result is not a product or safety recommendation. When to use which
Use the roof pitch calculator when your question is about the slope itself: you measured rise and run and need the angle or percentage, you are comparing a measurement against a plan, or you are checking numbers before handing a project to a roofer. It is a geometry tool and should stay one — it does not size materials or bless access.
