Time & planning

Schedules, routines, media, and personal time.

Choose the tool whose inputs and output match your task. Check each calculator’s assumptions and limitations before using its result.

Latest update:

These tools turn the hours you have into a schedule you can actually keep — sleep, study, routines, and media all get clock-time answers. Start with the sleep schedule calculator when a fixed alarm or planned bedtime needs a realistic night built from 90-minute cycles. Use the daily routine optimizer when a whole day feels shapeless, then the study time calculator to fit focus sessions, breaks, and review into the time that remains. For watching plans, the binge watching calculator shows how many episodes a viewing budget really covers. Find more schedule, chore, and habit tools in the Everyday Life collection.

Frequently asked questions

Can this calculate bedtime and wake time?
Yes. Choose the mode that matches your question. If you know when you must wake up, the calculator works backward to suggested bedtimes. If you know when you plan to go to bed, it works forward to suggested wake times. In both modes, it includes your preparation time.
Why does the calculator use 90 minute cycles?
The calculator uses 90 minutes as a simple average sleep-cycle length. Real cycles vary across the night and from person to person, so the output should be treated as a schedule-planning estimate. It is useful for avoiding obviously short nights, not for guaranteeing a perfect waking moment.
What does preparation time mean?
Preparation time is the number of minutes you want to reserve before the sleep window in wake-time mode or before the displayed wake moment in bedtime mode. It can represent brushing teeth, reading, settling in, or any buffer you want the calculator to include in the clock math.
