Conversion method

The calculator generally converts the source value to km/h first and then converts from km/h to the target unit. It also includes direct directional factors for a few knot-related paths so the output matches the original converter’s behavior.

  • Do not assume the largest number means the fastest unit. The same speed has a larger km/h value than m/s because hours are much longer than seconds.
