Health screening

Clinical scores, lab measures, and screening calculations.

Choose the tool whose inputs and output match your task. Check each calculator’s assumptions and limitations before using its result.

Latest update:

Screening tools organize clinical measures — readings, scores, and lab-style calculations — into educational context. The blood pressure calculator places a systolic and diastolic reading into common adult categories, and the blood sugar calculator converts glucose between mg/dL and mmol/L with timing-based educational labels. Structured scoring pages like the 4Ts score calculator sum clinical domains into pretest-probability bands, while the ankle-brachial index calculator compares arm and ankle pressures. These pages are informational: a single calculation cannot diagnose a condition, and repeated, properly measured readings plus clinical context change interpretation. Related body and measurement tools live in the Health collection.

Frequently asked questions

Does this calculator test whether I have 20/20 vision?
No. Despite the name, it does not measure visual acuity, refractive error, eye pressure, retina health, cataracts, glaucoma, or macular degeneration. It only scores lifestyle inputs and returns a low or increased lifestyle risk flag for education and reflection only.
What inputs affect the result?
The calculation adds four activity selections and seven diet selections, then checks whether smoking status is heavy. It returns an increased flag when activity totals 8 or less, diet totals 23 or less, or heavy smoking is selected. These cutoffs are an unvalidated heuristic, not an eye-disease risk model.
Can a low flag prove my eyes are healthy?
No. A low lifestyle flag does not replace a comprehensive eye exam and does not rule out eye disease. Many eye conditions can be silent early, and sudden symptoms need professional evaluation regardless of a lifestyle score or online tool.
