The knots to kph converter multiplies knots by exactly 1.852, because the international nautical mile is 1,852 meters. The primary result is km/h with up to three decimals, alongside meters per second (km/h ÷ 3.6) and miles per hour (km/h ÷ 1.609344). In the page’s checked example, 20 knots becomes 37.04 km/h, 10.289 m/s, and 23.016 mph. Negative knots are rejected.
The m/s to km/h converter multiplies meters per second by 3.6 in its default direction and divides by 3.6 in the reverse direction, with a direction selector on the form. Supporting rows show mph (m/s × 2.2369362921) and ft/s (m/s × 3.280839895). In the checked example, 10 m/s becomes 36 km/h, 22.3694 mph, and 32.8084 ft/s; reversed, 90 km/h becomes 25 m/s.

When to use which
