Currency Converter Calculator

Estimate conversions between US Dollar, Euro, British Pound, Japanese Yen, Swiss Franc, and Canadian Dollar. Enter the Amount, select From, select To, and the calculator returns the converted amount plus equivalents in the other supported currencies.

How currency conversion works

Currency conversion multiplies the amount by an exchange rate.

Converted amount = original amount x exchange rate

This calculator is a demo converter using fixed sample rates, not live foreign exchange data. Its base is USD: USD = 1, EUR = 0.92, GBP = 0.79, JPY = 149.5, CHF = 0.87, and CAD = 1.35. To convert between two non-USD currencies, it converts through USD.

For example, 100 USD to EUR uses 100 Γ— 0.92 = 92 EUR before any fees. Converting 92 EUR back to USD uses 92 Γ· 0.92 = 100 USD.
