When to use which
Use the mL to kg converter when a bottle, beaker, dispenser, or recipe gives volume but a scale, shipping document, inventory sheet, or formula needs kilograms — and remember it reports only the mass of the contents, so add container tare weight separately. The page’s presets are liquids, so powders need the custom density field with a measured bulk density.

Limits and disclaimer
Both converters are educational tools whose results are only as reliable as the entered measurements and the stated density. A unit change does not determine density: temperature, concentration, brand, aeration, and packing all shift the grams per milliliter, and the flour preset is a bulk value that changes with sifting, scooping, humidity, and settling. Do not assume 1000 mL equals 1 kg for every liquid, and do not enter 920 kg/m³ as 920 g/mL — it should be 0.92 g/mL.
